3. A new kind of Camera Pill

Camera pills have been around for almost an entire decade, although they have never been able to be controlled.  At the acceptance of many doctors, this was just the way it was going to stay.  That was, until 2009, when a research team from West Japan had invented a camera pill with the unique ability to ‘swim’ and be controlled via remote control.  Nicknamed ‘The Mermaid,’ this pill was designed to prevent the pill from getting off track or turning around while inside the body.  Measuring only 46 mm along it’s length, the mermaid is expected to make examining the digestive track easier than before.
